People from all walks of life (living or deceased)
can be nominated to the New York City Hall of Fame if they meet
the following guidelines:
1. The
person must have made a lasting and significant contribution
to the betterment of NYC in one of the nominating categories.
2. The
person, group or business must have been based in New York
City during the time of their accomplishment.
3. Nominees
must have shown that they are people of "character"
who will serve as role models for our children.
4. The person's contribution/s must have been recognized in at least one of the following ways:
a) The person or groups of persons must have received a legitimate
award, from a legitimate community organization, recognizing
his/her accomplishment.
b) The person or groups of persons' work must have received positive
media attention in a legitimate media outlet.
